Taking a Shine to Summer Crime

Although summer doesn’t officially begin this year in the northern hemisphere until June 21, Seattle’s recent epidemic of balmy weather already has me thinking about days spent on my front porch or back patio, the sun in my face and a brand-new book in hand. The result is my Kirkus Reviews column this week, focusing primarily on eight forthcoming crime novels, written by Don Winslow, Lori Rader-Day, Linwood Barclay, and others. You’ll find that piece here.

And sometime early next week, I should be able to post a more extensive (perhaps downright intimidating) list in The Rap Sheet of crime, mystery, and thriller titles being prepared for release over the next three months. Keep an eye out for it.
